About Me
Our gardens can and should be a place to find joy and equilibrium, not a list of daunting tasks that make us feel squeezed in our already busy lives.
I set up HOW TO LOVE YOUR GARDEN in response to this - as a way to empower people to get out there and get gardening with a bit of a helping hand along the way.
My own route into gardening was circuitous. I was first blown away by plants when, as a child, my mother showed me how to grow a Hyacinth bulb in my granny’s old forcing vase during the depths of Winter. But it was many years later while busy in the music industry that I realised the amount of time I spent dreaming about and working in my own London garden was quietly leading me to re-think my career.
In 2013 I returned to study for the RHS Diploma in Horticulture at Capel Manor where I graduated with the top commendation. After working with a West London Designer, a move to the Sussex countryside meant full immersion and the chance to create my own garden here entirely from scratch.
Intertwined with our lives, plants have the endless ability to surprise us, and, if we let them, even teach us a thing or two. There is always more to learn and discover. Encouraging others to jump on their own garden journey makes my job continually rewarding.
